Minor Martin White (July 9, 1908 - June 24, 1976) was an American photographer, theoretician, critic, and educator. He had an intense interest in how people viewed and thought about photographs and a personal vision guided by several spiritual and intellectual philosophies.

Minor White took up photography in college, making photomicrographs as a biology major. After graduation, he began to write poetry and to photograph his friends and the landscape. Around 1938 he moved to Portland, Oregon, where he became an architectural photographer for the Oregon Arts Project, a division of the Works Progress Administration.
